Ultimately, success hinges on one’s ability to communicate with and influence others. The Executive MBA Program at the University of Tennessee challenges students and helps them reflect on their current operating styles and the way they impact others. These invaluable opportunities for leadership growth occur in the form of personal assessments, 360-degree feedback, group exercises, and role plays. Based on the outcomes of these activities, each student, with the guidance of an executive coach, prepares an individualized Leadership Development Program (LDP) to help facilitate the development of leadership skills and strategic perspectives. LDP advisors remain available for at least one year after graduation for additional conversations with alumni.

“I have a much better understanding of business in general and would argue that I am now a better manager as a result. It is hard for me to describe, but – I just think differently now. I think more as an executive. My thoughts are more “strategically” oriented. I look at the “big picture.” I think more in terms of the company as a whole. I write differently. I present better. I treat people differently, especially those who work for me.”
