Poland / Italy - 2007
The Class of 2007 will spend their international residency in Poland and Italy. Trip participants have the opportunity to participate in an optional pre-tour of Krakow, Poland before beginning in the residency period in Warsaw, Poland. After a week of lectures, site tours and networking in and around Warsaw, the class will enjoy a weekend of sightseeing in Venice, Italy. The second week of study will be centered in Verona, Italy. The focus of this Residency Period is Building a Global Mindset.
Poland has been a member of the European Union since 2004. As such, this country has moved toward creating new and better jobs for the citizens, spreading democracy and prosperity. Italy is one of the EU founding members, with European Union roots tracing back to 1957. While the European Union represents only 7% of the world population, it accounts for approximately one-fifth of all global imports and exports. With this in mind, the 2007 EMBA class will have two very diverse business markets to explore.
